45 Foundations that have given BIPOC grants in Arizona

UNITE LATINO, IMMIGRANT, AND ALLIED COMMUNITIES TO PROMOTE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE THROUGH INCREASED CIVIC PARTICIPATION BY VOTING AND EDUCATION ON ISSUES FACING OUR COMMUNITIES.

SINCE 1996, THE NICK LOWERY YOUTH FOUNDATION, INC. (NLYF) HAS DEDICATED ITSELF TO HELPING DISADVANTAGED YOUTH, ESPECIALLY NATIVE AMERICANS, BY DEVELOPING, PROMOTING AND SPONSORING PROGRAMS AND RELATIONSHIPS THAT FOSTER SELF-ESTEEM, LEADERSHIP QUALITIES AND SKILLS, AMD ENCOURAGING YOUTH TO BE POSITIVE ASSETS TO THEIR COMMUNITIES. SINCE 2003, OVER 5,000 YOUTH AND OVER 200 ADULT ADVISORS WERE TRAINED THROUGH TWO CAPSTONE PROGRAMS, NATION BUILDING FOR NATIVE YOUTH(NBNY)SUMMER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE AND THE NEW EXTRAORDINARY TRANSCENDENT LEADERSHIP PROGRAM(NExT)

The purposes of the association are to represent and to advocate the interest of Native American Attorneys and their communities, to foster fellowship between the members of the association and other members of the legal profession; to encourage and promote the professional growth and development and good standing of the members of the association; to advance and improve the practice of Indian law; to develop and encourage fellowship and cooperation with other organizations of minority attorneys; to conduct activities and programs that expand the educational, employment and other opportunities available to Native Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Alaska Native attorneys in Arizona; to grant educational scholarships to Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native students interested in pursuing the study of law at educational institutions located in Arizona; to promote tribal sovereignty; and to engage in any other activity not otherwise prohibited to it by law or regulation.

EMPOWERING ARIZONAS LOW TO MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES, ESPECIALLY MEMBERS OF THE LARGE AND DIVERSE LATINO AND IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES, TO OVERCOME EFFECTS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INJUSTICE.

MISSIONARY WORK IN THE FINISTERRE MOUNTAINS OF PAPUA-NEW GUINEA, TO BRING THE WORD OF GOD TO THE TRIBES WHO LIVE THERE, ONE-BY-ONE, TRANSLATING THE BIBLE INTO THEIR NATIVE LANGUAGE.
